Fingers

New wax paintings with my fingers.

Is this figurative? I think so. The distinct finger marks are negative images of the human body. Also the physical mark itself is animal like (does not have the precision of the pencil, brush, et.)

What makes an image figurative?

Fuego

"Fuego" was a collective show that we (Bernardo, Christian and Carlos Loaiza) made in May 07. All the paintings were made by the of us, i mean all of us painting on the same canvas. Here are parts of some of the paintings we made.

Angel's fall, Giacometti's fault

How can we do this?

I want to invite everyone to upload images of your own work, so we can get to know each other through images. My hope of organizing this project is that artists from Mazatlan, Mexico would make connections with artists from D.C and Baltimore, USA (...and Spain!).

How can six people that have never worked together-- work together to create artworks. I think a good start would be to allow yourself to become inspired by each other's visual language....incorporate each other's themes into your own work and upload these new images...and on and on.....

this being an example.
